The Research Fellows should be well-trained in their area of expertise, have an extensive publications record, and have excellent verbal communication skills. They should be aware of both global and national developments in their area of work and have a good network of fellow researchers with whom they can partner.
If selected the candidate would be expected to author/coauthor unbiased studies using robust methods, work with colleagues in India and globally, present their work and participate actively in our seminars on a regular basis. The candidate will also be expected to interact independently with policymakers, domain experts, academia, funders and civil society among others. Expected to author evidence-based policy relevant robust studies.

3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualification and Experience:
(1) Ph.D. in Economics from a top Indian/foreign university
(2) Minimum seven years’ work experience
(3) Established publication record
Essential Skills and Competencies:
(1) Knowledge of research methods;
(2) Good verbal communication;
(3) Good writing skills;
(4) Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively;
(5) Understanding of health systems and the ability to assess health system reforms required;
(6) Ability to conduct quantitative analysis relating to health expenditure, utilisation and health outcomes;
(7) Ability to analyse cross-sectoral connections such as health and employment, health and growth, health and climate change etc;
(8) Ability to analyse sub-national differences in health budgets, expenditures, systems and outcomes, and how issues of governance, state capacity, fiscal space and other factors influence these.
4. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
