We are looking for experienced specialists who would like to join our SAP team as SAP Basis Consultant.
Responsibilities Manage the basis operation of Hapag-Lloyd’s complete SAP landscape together with our service providers. This includes the legacy SAP landscape (ECC, PO, SolMan, BW, GRC) as well as our new hyperscaler-based SAP S/4HANA environments with SAP Business Technology Platform integration
Accompany the transformation to SAP S/4HANA for our entire SAP system landscape and shape Hapag-Lloyd’s target SAP system architecture
Establish the SolMan as a central element of our SAP S/4HANA transformation, to e. g. support transport management, solution documentation, project and release management (Focused Build) and integration of upgrades and feature-pack implementations
Support and take over tasks in the planning and realization of SAP implementation projects
Keep our landscape up to date: Plan, coordinate and test updates and upgrades related to our SAP environment (from service packs over database and OS updates to rollouts of new SAP GUI versions) in cooperation with our service providers
Look beyond the end of your nose: Continuously improve the system stability and performance by conducting performance and failure analyses
Design and develop a holistic solution to monitor the health status of our SAP system landscape (interfaces, jobs, applications etc.)
Work collaboratively with our local and global stakeholders to advise on and discuss requirements
Provide SAP basis related 3rd level support to our local and global stakeholders
Plan and coordinate the collaboration with our external stakeholders
Qualifications Profound knowledge in SAP basis operation and administration (ECC & S/4HANA) with the ability of understanding technical interrelationships
Understanding in connecting SAP systems with SAP and as well non-SAP systems using state-of-the-art integration technologies, such as SAP Integration Suite and OData services
A degree in IT or comparable professional experience in IT functions
Ability to design, improve and challenge modern SAP system architectures
Experience in using state-of-the-art SAP technologies and services, for example related to the SAP Business Technology Platform
Basic programming knowledge in ECC as well as S/4HANA environments using ABAP, ABAP OO, SQL and relational as well HANA databases
Act as a pragmatic, proactive, dynamic and independent team player with high solution-orientation
Enthusiasm for working in a global logistics company with constantly changing challenges
Ability to communicate in an international environment paired with good command of written and spoken English
