Roles and Responsibilities
•A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate good knowledge of SQ Servers, SQL PaaS and troubleshooting skills.
•Understand and document technical requirements from clients
•Understand the SQL Cluster and DR strategies and participate in DR drills
•Understand Security Guidelines and implement the best practices to improve the security of MS SQL
•Set up process, services, and tools around cloud
•Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance controls
•Assist the team to develop offerings including proven architectures, proofs of concept, and best practices and procedures for deliver
•Create SOPs, KB articles
Required Technical Competencies
Primary Skills:
•Satisfactory knowledge of Cloud Computing (Azure or AWS)
•SQL Server provisioning, Patching, Backup and troubleshooting.
•Prepare and upload SOPS \ KB articles for SQL Servers, Azure SQL
•Coach team members on newer azure features \ services
•Has a good knowledge on assisting Senior management on SOWs \ RFPs \ Critical email communications
•All versions of SQL Server standalone and Cluster environment database handling
•Configuring and managing backup through native backup methods or popular third part backup tools
•Cloning the databases based on the requirement
•Listener creation, ODBC connectivity creations
•Performance handling and automation of administrative tasks
•SQL instance/database Upgradations
•Experience on major ticketing tools
•Exposure in automatic storage management
•Experiane in all database activities like HA,DR creation and maintenance
•Establish the clustering environment and handling the cluster related issues
•Experience on Log-Shipping, DBMirroring, AlwaysON and Replications
•Experience TDE, TLS creation
•Troubleshooting all issues related to SQL Server
•Patch upgradation for SQL Server instance
•Handling the clients will be more additional asset
Certifications Required (any two Preferable)
SQL Server certification
