We are seeking a skilled Manual Test Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies, along with hands-on experience in manual testing techniques. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Responsibilities:
Execute manual test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on project requirements and specifications.
Identify, document, and report software defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.
Participate in requirement analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning meetings to contribute to the overall quality assurance process.
Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes and enhancements do not adversely impact existing functionality.
Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden defects and user experience issues that may not be covered by predefined test cases.
Provide timely and accurate feedback to the development team on software quality and performance metrics.
Work closely with automation engineers to identify opportunities for test automation and contribute to the creation of automated test scripts.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manual software testing.
Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Good communication skills with the ability to articulate testing strategies, findings, and recommendations.
Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
