Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer Senior is a medium level to advanced level software developerwith the ability to lead a team of up to4 giving work assignments while meetingdelivery dates and quality to meet budgets, milestones, and deadlines forassigned projects.
The person in this position is expected to attain mastery ofRSM’s SDLC and knowing which SDLC activities and deliverables are required,scaling them to each project. They can resolve moderate to difficultproblems, lead the resolution of those problems, while demonstrating expertisein a variety of technical concepts, practices, and procedures.
This role also arrangesmentoring by other team members while taking ownership of skill growth of theirproject team and other projects.
This role is expected to escalate issuesto Director/Manager App Dev in a timely manner to prevent projectdelays and take ownership of estimating development effort for theseprojects. The incumbent must foster a team environment where all membersare included in the solution and leadership is aware of all actions beingtaken. Their team includes other Senior Engineers, Software Engineers, BusinessAnalysts, System Architects, and DBAs
One of the primary responsibilities is to provide L3 Support for theFirm’s applications, which includes timely response to Service Desk issueswhile managing our bug tracking tool during development and assigning defectsto team developers.
Construction and unit testingof software on various platforms including web, desktop, and client server.
Uses available technologies to create reusable, extendable, and maintainable systems, and components.
Analysis of existing systems,implementation of requirements and change requests into design deliverables.
Leadership of developers andsometimes others through project construction phase. Requires planning,delegation, and status with management.
Able to see beyond the specific projectand advise leadership of issues, risks, and more strategic methods to implementthe project.
Influences peers and networks well across the IT organization andinto the Business organization.
Communication with project teammembers including assisting QA with testing of software, assist tech lead andproject management with estimation, planning, and project status, andassistance with identifying project issues and risks.
Review, validation, andinterpretation of business and non-functional requirements. Interaction withBusiness Analysts and Business contacts.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred inComputer programming, Information Systems, or similar field, or equivalent work experiencein a computer-related field
Microsoft Power Platform andDataverse, Microsoft BI stack (SQLServer, PowerBI, Data Factory, SSIS)C#, .NET, .NET Core, and EntityFramework
Azure DevOps CI/CD (YAML &Classic), and Git source control
Ability to design and implementfull stack solutions from new code all the way to CI/CD
Ability to manage and coordinatesystem incidents and outages independently
Full understanding of commonintegration technologies and patterns
Usually, 8 or more years ofexperience in the field or in a related area
Familiarity with Windows andWeb based development
Strong experience withAGILE-based Software Development Life Cycle

Strongattention to detail
Demonstratedability to communicate across multiple disciplines
ServiceNow experience preferred
