Job Summary:
We’re looking for a QA Engineer to thoroughly test our products, find problems, and help improve them. You will check everything from design to content to ensure our product not only works well but is also user-friendly.
Responsibilities:
Plan and Test:
Create detailed test plans and test cases.
Prioritize testing activities based on project needs.
Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure clarity in product functionalities.
Manual Testing:
Conduct hands-on testing to identify bugs in the product.
Evaluate the product’s design, business logic, content, and technical performance.
Inspect fonts, colors, and overall visual elements to ensure consistency and accessibility.
Check API calls and backend processes to verify correct integration and performance.
Identify redundant or unnecessary code that can affect performance or usability.
Document bugs clearly and provide reproducible steps for fixing.
Performance and Usability:
Test product performance under various scenarios to ensure stability and speed.
Assess user experience (UX) to suggest improvements for better usability.
Review content for value and relevance, suggesting enhancements or reductions as needed.
Track and Report:
Maintain quality metrics like defect counts and test outcomes.
Follow up on resolved issues to ensure comprehensive correction.
Collaboration and Improvement:
Offer feedback in product design sessions to enhance product logic and user interface.
Suggest technological enhancements to streamline product features.
Ensure the product is intuitive and meets end-user expectations from start to finish.
Skills Needed:
College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
Experience as a QA Tester.
Understanding of QA methodologies and project management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented.
Proficient with test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
Effective communication skills.
